Good Points
Comes with the classic gameplay expected from Nintendo. Backward compatibility with Gameboy Advance games. Ingenious control method.
Bad Points
Screen darker than the newer DS Lite. Slightly chunky design.
General Comments
I bought the DS on launch day and have been pleased with it ever since. While it lacks the powerful graphics of the Sony PSP it makes up for this with a totally innovative gameplay experience. From the first time using the touch-screen, controlling games becomes second-nature and you need hardly read the instruction manuals at all. Using the wi-fi multiplayer adds greater depth to the console, and setting up a game takes just a matter of seconds. Overall the DS provides a totally rewarding gaming experience, although it makes no sense to buy this model when the Lite is available for around the same.
