Good Points

Perfect location, with a beautiful beach just across the road. Staff friendly and very helpful, the owner of the complex was often around. Towels changed every other day, sheets weekly, spacious apartments.


Bad Points

Kitchen was basic, only 2 ring hob, not really practical to cook main meal. But as we go on holiday to get away from cooking was not a major issue for us.


General Comments

Santa Ponsa is a lovely resort, the Portofino Apartments are situated in a quieter area of Santa Ponsa, which is not a bad thing as it means a good night sleep. The beach is a stones throw away, Rickie's bar is a great place for either breakfast or an evening meal, good food at good prices. Just up the road is the Salsa Bar, meals served til early evening, then it becomes a bar, they are very welcoming and a wealth of information. I would avoid the Rovers Return at all cost, it's just round the corner from the Portofino, we paid more for drinks there than anywhere else, and prices seemd to change as evening goes on. We sussed it on the second visit, left and did not return. Don't miss the Square, what a fantastic nights entertainment, we didn't discover it until second week. We are definatley going back to Santa Ponsa, which is the best spanish resort we have visited and would love to return to the Portofinto apartments, not only a superb location, but lovely apartments.

    2 ur complaint about the rovers return we never had a problem in there we enjoyed everynite thought the entertainment was excellent everynite considering the entertainment that was on we felt the drink priced 2 be very reasonable after all you wouldnt go out in scotland or england and watch a tribute act for free it all has too be paid for!
