General Comments
I was considering purchasing a model 350 Husqvarna chainsaw at a local home center for $339.00 USD.
While visiting my local tractor dealer to check his price, I found 2 new 346 xp saws on display.
The saw fitted with a 16 inch bar, costing $400.00 USD. I used it to clear a playground at my church, and I found it to be equally suited for felling, bucking and limbing. I was pleased to find that the saw had all of the features of my other professional saws. Rim sprocket system and adjustable oil pump are features that most small saws are not equipped with. The 346 has only 2 tenths more horse power than the 350, but it is set up to turn higher rpm's. It seems to cut through limbs as fast as my bigger saws, and it is easier on the operator. Although I set up the saw with a 16 inch bar, an 18 or 20 inch bar should work well.
