Good Points

Marvellous experience, an active volcano at a safe distance.


Bad Points

Too short, but that's me being greedy because I loved the whole experience and could have stayed up there for a lot longer!


General Comments

During our recent stay in Antigua, we saw the Montserrat Volcano Helicopter Tour advertised and decided that we would try this tour. It was marvellous to see an active volcano, but at a safe distance. After being inactive for over 50 years, the Soufri re Hills Volcano, in 1995, started spitting its fire and the tour guide told us it has been active since then. He said the activity became stronger in 1997 and it changed the landscape forever. Parts of the island are now still an exclusion zone. Not only was this trip very interesting, the feeling of flying in a helicopter is spectacular too and I would definitely recommend not just this trip but any helicopter trip, because it really is an experience, simply excellent!
