* Very accurate
* Easy to cock, single-stroke
* Great trigger
* 3/8" rail for mounting scopes/dots/etc.
* Good balance/weight in the hand
* Costs more than the identical Weihrauch HW 40 PCA simply because of the "Beeman" name
* 410 fps not powerful enough for pest dispatch under 6-7m., despite the claims of Dr. Beeman
* Pellet loading can be awkward due to the loading port placement and the clearance around the port, though it does get easier the more you do it
As a paper puncher, it's a great pistol (albeit pricey). According to Dr. Beeman's published figures, only 2-3 ft/lbs. of energy is needed to dispatch a squirrel within the kill zone (brain). Despite the very accurate performance of the P3, its power simply isn't enough for pest control at any range.
I put a BSA red dot onto mine, and it performs great. Easy to cock, very accurate. The trigger is definitely the best feature of the gun. While this is NOT the same gun as the $40 Chinese knock-off many people are talking about, it IS the same gun as the HW40 PCA -- only at a higher price. I wasn't aware of this until after my purchase.
All in all, a good pistol for accurate target punching or general lightweight plinking. You'll love the trigger.
