Good Points

The initial emergency advice offered when a break in was discovered was really helpful. Claim settled relatively speedily once it was agreed that the policy covered a break in.


Bad Points

When I originally reported the claim the initial response was very poor. The circumstances of the break in had to be referred to a senior manager to gain agreement that the policy covered the damage to the property.


General Comments

This review adds to my previous comments on this provider as have now unfortunately had a to make a claim. To be fair to the insurer the circumstances resulting in the claim were really unusual. Whilst I can completely understand the initial hesitation I did not find the approach helpful when facing a stressful situation. To put this into context, by chance I was debating with the insurer when the scene of crime officer arrived at the house. The police officer also failed to convince the insurer that a crime had been committed. However, all's well that ends well, everything was resolved to my satisfaction, angers took a completely different view of the situation and reversed the original decision. Notwithstanding the issues I face I would still recommend the insurer.
