Es Cana, Miami Apartments Review

Right on the beach, local bus service

Constant buzz of air conditioning from the opposite hotel 24/7, cafe/bar on the corner open until early hours which has sport on TV's blaring and a snooker table so all you can hear are balls clacking, the windows in the apartment did not fit the frames so they constantly banged and the wind howled through them, variety of food in the resort is okay if all you want to eat is burger and chips or something with chips most nights.

On arrival at the Miami Apartments we were allocated a ground floor room (when initially booking the holiday we requested a higher floor), the bedroom was at the back of the apartment with patio doors and a very small terrace right on the poolside therefore no privacy whatsoever! We requested to be moved to a higher floor and were told that there was a waiting list for other guests to be moved up.

Anyway after a few phone calls it was agreed we could be moved to the fourth floor if we paid 44 Euros administration charge, we did. We then had to wait for 2 hours while the fourth floor apartment was cleaned, we stored our luggage and had a wonder around Es Cana. We were not impressed at all! There really is nothing to do in Es Cana and any entertainment that is on is truely dreadful!

There are a few shops but they all seem to sell the same produce as the hippy market, leather bracelets, silver jewellery and t-shirts!
We are a couple in our early thirties and Ibiza virgins. We went to ES Cana on a recommendation and were told that if we wanted nightlife everyting was in easy reach! That recommendation could not be further from the truth! We spent most of our 2 week holiday on a bus or ferry. Although the buses are reasonable cheap and regular it is impossible to get from A to B in one jourey.

As for the Miami Apartments, for the price we paid I would have expected them to be cleaner, bedlinen changed more often (changed only twice in two weeks) and the furniture to be newer!

Our only "saving grace" was the beach restaurant ES Pins Bahia, the menu and staff are all fantastic!

I can safely say that we will never return to the Miami Apartments or Es Cana.
