It's quite slim. The remote looks quite smart.
Everything else. Unreliable (broke a third time recently), agonisingly slow to respond or start or anything else. Major design flaws such as consistently failing to record quick 30/60/120 minute chunks if you need to go out/to bed, etc. These fail with copyright issues on channels like BBC1 whereas the timer never has these issues.
See bad points. Have now finally got my money back from Comet who acknowledged that they'd had a lot of problems with Philips DVD/HDD recorders which is why they stock so few now (1 when I looked just now). Have swapped it for a Sony - heaven! It works, it's quick, responsive, starts instantly, etc, etc. I will never buy a Philips product again. (good shavers mind you).
