Good Points

Check in went smoothly.


Bad Points

Just about everything from room size to no toilet for about 13 hours, to NO towels and NO wash clothes to bad food, very small portions to NO table spoons, from buffet with very little variety to rude customer service over the phone.


General Comments

This is really hard to know where to begin with this NCL Cruise. First I will say the check-in for Pride Of America went very smooth, but that's where it ended. The toilet was not working for over 13 hours and when I called as soon as I saw this all I got on the phone was a rude customer service person that said it will be fixed within the hour. 13 hours later it worked, but the next day it was again NOT flushing. The operator also said there were plenty of restrooms outside our rooms, but they were not working either and I didn't pay thousands of dollars to use public restrooms. I had no big towels to shower with and I again called and they said they would be right up, 3 hours later they brought my towel, but I could not wait that long so I showered and used a soiled shirt of mine to dry off with. The food in the dinning rooms were often times small and not good and orders were mostly screwed up and had to be returned. My wife and I have cruised before and we will NEVER cruise NCL again, NCL ruined what could have been a very beautiful cruise.

    It seems as though the restaurants (as opposed to the buffet) let down the NCL experience. As posted elsewhere, our three restaurant meals were the worst of the week, but we overlooked that if they were the 'no extra charge' restaurants, we could have asked for more food, but as the service was so dozy, we couldn't be bothered anyway, so in that respect I agreed with this review.

    We enjoyed the buffet meals and although there might have been a delay with cutlery now and again, that was no big deal.

    We had no problems with our cabin housekeeping and the only glitch was that the interactive part of the TV system never worked.

    Overall we rated the cruise highly, so although this review will be correct for this person, our experience was positive, hence we disagree only on the overall experience rating.

    Hopefully, NCL will address these ongoing issues!
