The Logun S -16 I have is silent compared with my beautiful old Webley Eclipse, so quite in fact, I keep thinking that it has malfunctioned, when it is perfectly fine. Once the sights are lined up it is deadly accurate, no recoil, if care is taken loading the magazines, with sized pellets, which are positioned correctly, the gun performs outstandingly and reliably, not only consistently on target against rats but accurate enough to take out small mice too. You can cover the bull barrel with soft 5mm rubber neoprene from an old diving suit, to muffle and sound within the moderator/ silencer, it should not interfere with the inboard front end laser sight. I also put a 3mm neoprene sock over the front end hand grip for a nicer feel and to reduce noise when resting on walls trees etc.It also stops damage to the finish on the gun, and absorbs any vibration and movement. ( THE NEOPRENE ONLY COST A FEW QUID ) Cover the air bottle with terry towelling neoprene, it keeps your face warm and gives you the perfect comfortable position for lining up through the gun site.
The gun is heavy, however something as special as this gun is, must be worth the effort, for the quality, fun and shear enjoyment it will give in return. You either love or hate the shape and colour, but I think with the minor modifications with the black neoprene rubber it gives a top quality feel to the logun, plus you could customise your gun in lots of available colours and textures. When I received my new Logun (4 weeks ago ) the trigger was sticking, but after lubrication it works fine and has stopped a slight jamming problem which I had. Getting hold of spares seems to be a problem too.
I love my old spring guns, however having tried the Logun S-16, I will be shooting my Logun more often. If you buy a Logun you will have to learn to strip it to clear a pellet jam using the hand book, with a good tool kit to push the jammed pellets out through the barrel, however once you get used to the action of the gun you won't have to strip it down hardly at all. A brilliant gun, lots of fun.
