Cheap, Robust & finger click adjustable for windage & elevation.
Excellent value for money.
If we're being picky, the very edge of the lens loses a fraction of sharp focus at higher magnifications.
Single piece aluminum body nitrogen-filled scope in matt black & of general robust construction. N.B it looks nothing like the picture at the head of this review, thank goodness.
Clear bright optics with a hair-fine Mildot reticle. Scope is about a foot long, so may not suit a smaller build of gun & is an inch longer than the plain 4x40's more due to an extended "hood" over the objective lens (a good thing to cut down on glare)
Adjustment for windage & elevation are a nice clear clicks & easy on the fingers (no nead for coins or screwdrivers)
Fast focus eye-bell for quick target acquisition. Nitrogen-filled so doesn't fog
Hair-fine Mildot reticle (or reticule if it's your preferred spelling)
Only, insignificant point is on higher magnifications, the edge of the sight picture is not quite as crisp, though in practice you probably won't notice.
I have the 4x32, 4x40 & 3-9x40 & have no problems with any of them.
If you know where to look on t'interweb, the scopes (without mounts) can be had for £25 quid. Bought the mounts separately from J Ramsbottoms & at £12 quid, postage included,& the Accushot mounts with retractable stop-pin are another steal.
There are better scopes around but you're going to have to part with a serious wedge of cash to own one.
One gets the feeling that these are just a set of AGS scopes with a different badge on.
These scopes are plenty good enough for your average varmint murdering air gunner (like me) & are an excellent piece of kit for the price.
