A bit pricey
I use Pizza Express regularly across the UK, particularly if I'm dining alone and working, and I find them consistently of good value. I particularly like their new range of super thin pizzas, which I'm told by a waitress are basically exactly the same, but just rolled out thinner.
They make for a big plateful, but I love the way that they are hugely crisp. If you like horrible gloopy American deep pan, then you'll hate this. Excellent.
Staff are well trained, and they're always very clean. A pizza and glass of wine cost me £15, which is a lot, but maybe reflects the quality of the products. Incidentally, never get taken in by their "would you like something while you're waiting" routine. They'll sting you for another £4 for olives and hold up your pizza order - so might end up with a second drink. Very much recommend though. Pizza Hut and others could learn a lot.
