My luggage was not lost on the journey.
Staff were polite.
Too many to list.
At first everything seemed fine, until I arrived at the airport. The attendants seemed unsure as to what they were doing. One Air Jamaica airport attendant told us to stand in the first Check-in line, half an hour later we were told by another attendant that we had to join another line instead and that we should have been in that line all along.(No apology was made for the inconvenience of standing in a line for half an hour, then having to join an even longer line due to their error). Once we were checked in, our flight was delayed by about half an hour.
We landed as scheduled in Montego Bay only 30 minutes after our scheduled arrival time. We were told by the attendants, upon our arrival in Montego Bay, that we should remain on board the plane and we would continue on to Atlanta once the other passengers board the aircraft. On our tickets, our scheduled departure time was 30 minutes after our arrival in Montego Bay. Ten minutes later, the same attendant told us that we would have to disembark from the plane. After doing so we were then informed that our flight to Atlanta was delayed by 3 hours. Then two hours later, the flight was delayed again by 1 hour.
Once we boarded the flight, we took off for Atlanta. We arrived at the Airport in Atlanta approximately 7 hours later than our original time. Once we arrived, we had to circle the airport for approximately 15 minutes until we were cleared to land (since the flight was late). Finally, we arrived in Atlanta 8 hours later than we were scheduled to.
In conclusion:
If you are looking for an efficient, comfortable airline to fly to the Caribbean on, flying on Air Jamaica is not for you. If you want to arrive on time, you'd be better off renting scuba gear and swimming in from Florida.
