In centre of city.
Bad Points
Busy at weekends.
Terrible food.
General Comments
I visited the Panda Oriental Buffet Chinese restaurant on a trip through Sunderland a few weeks ago. I was surprised at the lack of decent places to eat here; probably only four or five restaurants in the whole city centre, but plenty of kebab and pizza take-aways.
I don't think Sunderland has quite grasped the idea of good food. The buffet had a reasonable choice, but the food on offer was either too greasy, too dried up or tasteless. None of it tasted fresh, or even authentically Chinese!
Not a good experience at all. It's more like a cafe than a restaurant.

I also disagree with this review, the food is nice, the prices very reasonable and the staff friendly and efficient. An added bonus is the fact that you can see people walking past, cold wet and miserable while you are warm dry and full of tasty chinese food. Result !
