Good Points

The hot hatch that started it all, stunning to look at, great handling and extremley fun to drive.


Bad Points

Unfortunatly led the way for kids to drive the female versions of the hot hatch ie saxo's, nova's and clios


General Comments

mk1 golf well what can i say, i own one, infact it is my first car and when i got it over a year and a half ago i thought old car hmmpp but when i discovered that my little 1.1 engine could muller saxo's , nova's etc of roughley the same engine i realised that i was driving the daddy and that the only thing that might turn as many heads is a tidy lanca delta integrally because of its rally pedigree. I'm hoping to stick an explosive mk2 1.8 gti engine in there soon and blow away the losers in anything else espesialy mk3's and mk4's , because lets face it all great cars get the old lady treatment and these two optimise this (fast but boring), there i said it, well some one had to.
