Good Points

A good read.

Bad Points

Philosophizes about human behavior without a real grasp on the issues.

General Comments

This book makes you think about the social environment in important ways, however misunderstands the nature of character, moral motivation and the distinction between determined and influenced. Takes psychology to be a definitive and certain science without critically assessing its assumptions or the context of the experiments. In effect, he tries to philosophize about human behavior without a sophisticated grasp of the issues. Okay, and a good read. But don't mistake selective, clever observations and cliches for wisdom.
