These speakers are LOUD! Huge bass. Easy to set up and use. Big bang for your bucks.
Very bassy - the mid-range is perhaps not as defined and tight as it could be.
Overall, these are great speakers for the money - absolutely no doubt about it. Simple as pie to set up and use. As for the speaker units themselves - sub woofer and satellites - they have a quality, well made feel about them that inspires confidence about the product. I have had them for about 18 months and (although I have not used this particular computer set up a lot) I've not had one bit of bother with them.
The sound quality is good - in fact, for the money, really bloody good. They don't distort even at high volumes, although they are so loud that I have never been able to play them at full blast for more than a few seconds. The neighbours would have been phoning the police otherwise - I'm not kidding! My only gripe would be that the mid-range they deliver gets a bit lost, so you end up feeling sometimes that the treble and bass ends of the response are too prominent and can end up sounding a bit detached. I set my EQ to cancel out some of the bass end as it will dominate otherwise. But, hey, I'm a musician and I'm just being picky here. For the money they are a brilliant buy. And if you like 'bottom end', you've got it here in spades.
