Good Points

Good looks, easy to use, friendly menu system and remote. It plays most formats including CD MP3 and VCD. Multiregion hack avaliable using the remote.

Bad Points

Some quirks, if pause is left on too long, ie about 10 minutes or more it emits a loud squeal and sometimes it stops playing a CD for no apparent reason.

General Comments

In general I like this unit. Its ideal for my application, that of watching the odd rented DVD on my portable TV. However I would not recommend it for any serious Home Theatre buffs. The main reason for this is that it does not handle transitions between dark areas of the image very well. Bright images are perfect, but dark backgrounds with subtile variances tend to appear blocky. I have verified this using my acid test - watching the opening sequence of Batman where my friend's player does a far better job at smoothing transitions between discrete colour values.
