Huge 15mm Wide Angle giving a about 110 Deg. FOV
Price if brilliant for such a wide lens!
Excellent control of distortion and vingetting
Very clear and sharp images throughout range
Good control of flare
Sharp contrast and excellent colour rendition
Solid EX quality build with built in lens hood
Two steps to switch to MF from AF
82mm Filter size can be used but only from 20mm upwards or vingetting is severe at all corners of picture
The Sigma 15-30mm F3.5-4.5 EX DG ASP lens is wonderful for all those people out there who want to photograph large buildings or sweeping landscapes but could never afford the huge lump of cash for an OEM lens.
It is also terrific for digital SLR owners as it gives a nice 22.5mm (effective) wide angle lens and avoids problems with peripheral light fall-off.
Very much impressed with this lens. About to take it to Florence and hope to get some cracking shots there!
