Good Points

The price was excellent, and that was what attracted us in the first place. However, I have given it a low rating because of the saga which followed...


Bad Points

The order was placed on 14th May 2007. I finally picked it up from the local store (which was what I had arranged) today (25TH September 2007!!! Is this a record?)
NB: I chose the 'still waiting' option in the ratings above, as none of the other options were suitable.


General Comments

Having placed the order online back in May and been advised by email that the order should be delivered on or before Tuesday, 19th June 2007, we decided to go ahead with this. One of the DVD's was intended as a gift for a birthday, and another for a friend, and both were initially wanted for May.

Both myself and my husband made many phone calls to the Woolworths Home Shopping line - each time we were told we could cancel the order if we wanted. Why would we want to do this? We ordered the items because they were wanted!!! After many frustrating phone calls and many weeks (the 19th June deadline came and went) my husband tried to speak to the Managing Director, and he did get some response from I believe a P.A. in the office there, but the wait went on.

If we had been advised that this particular item was out of stock and there was every likelihood this order could not be filled for several months, we might not have persevered.

I called again on 3rd September and was advised that they now had a 'part order', but if I chose to take this (they didn't know how many copies this 'part order' was) it would mean the rest of the order being cancelled...so on we went!
I called today (25th September), and to my UTTER AMAZEMENT I was advised the order had been delivered to my local store (I should have received an email, but this hadn't happened). The person on the line did ring the store for me to check it really was there, but again couldn't say if this was the whole order.

The saga ended at around 1pm today, when I found ALL 3 COPIES had reached my local Woolworths branch.

The salesperson there was not surprised when I said that was the first and LAST time I would be using the Woolworths online service.
