Good Points

Camping Eden is a really well run, small, French family owned site perfectly located for Cote D'Azur. Lots of different nationalities on site which is good. Absolutely fabulous restaurant with a good menu and also a different plat de jour each day. (The plat de jour was 9 euros - which is really good value). Sun Hat (Liz & Jeff) own nine of the 165 mobiles and cater well for their clients.

General Comments

Although at first we were a little worried when we read the rather negative comment about Camping Eden on this website, we can only say that the campsite is first class, clean and well run, and more than met our expectations. Lots of people own their own mobiles (rather like second homes) and live in them during the summer, so the atmosphere is really relaxed but the security is still very high, as each car is watched by security cameras before the entry gate is lifted. The site has lots of trees and flowering plants which make for a pleasant environment (and provide much needed shade at times too!). The pool is lovely and well maintained - and in September was relatively quiet - maybe a few more sunbeds and parasols around the poolside would not go amiss though.

And the local area? What can we say apart from the fact that if we got chance, we'd be back there tomorrow! Antibes, Cannes, Nice, and even St Tropez are within easy reach. Also venturing up the mountains to Gourdon is a fabulous trip. The beach close to the campsite (a couple of km) is pebbly but fabulous. And slightly further there are sandy beaches too. Biot train station is a similar distance away (about 2km) - and trains are plentiful and run along the coast to Monaco, Italy, and the other way to St Tropez etc. Buses pass the site frequently too.

To sum up - a gem of a campsite in a perfect location. We'll be back next year.
