Good Points

Steam buggy easily cleaned messes that would have been very difficult to scrub with chemicals. A cola drink sat on the kitchen counter for a week, ate dissolved the bottom of the cup, and left a sticky cola residue on the counter top. Steam buggy melted away the residue! A similar cola spill on carpet that was covered up by a rug instead of cleaned up was removed by steam buggy like it never happened. The bird cage is where it really shone, it blasted away caked-on dried up bird feces. In the kitchen sink, it penetrated and blasted away stinky residue that went into the cracks around the garbage disposal. It gets out wrinkles from clothes, and is great on glass and mirrors. It removes the "pink gook" from shower curtains.

Bad Points

It's large and bulky, a pain to store. It can't clean toilets because the steam makes a cloud you can't see through. It is useless for showers around the caulk line, because it strips away caulking! It runs out of steam in 15 minutes, and takes 15 more minutes to heat up water again before it works. Of course, by nature you cannot use it on electronics or anything that can't get very hot or wet.

General Comments

I don't think you'll find a superior bird-cage cleaner, steam is the way to go. For messes with sticky residue it's a life saver. It cuts through grease on a stove, it's just not as useful for the bathroom. Steam is good for removing grime, but it won't remove stains. Sometimes it feels like you are just getting started when it runs out of steam. You then sit down to relax, and just when you feel relaxed it's ready to work again.
