Good Points

This place is for everyone. Perhaps now being a seasoned veteran of the great place (first went when I was nineteen... now slightly older). You'll never meet nicer Greeks in Nicos, Manolis, Elen and Yiorgo. If I had the cash I'd buy the place... a very special part of Greece. Great pool and bar and the Sun Beach isn't too far away either, for everyone. Whilst the hotel may be only 2 star, you'll have a five star experience... bit like being in Runcorn!

Bad Points

Only lack of AirCon! Beach towels going missing off the balcony! Boots getting chucked in the pool.

General Comments

The Elen is part of Malia folklore. Rooms 19 and 12 are a personal recommendation. Also, generally around the time of August Bank Holiday weekend is a great time to visit as many friends of the Elen gather to enjoy the past and indeed future history being made. Great music is also played constantly by the great man, Mr Steven Chapman, a famous Edinburgh DJ. Also worth having a look at the penalty game opposite the Reflex bar down the strip... The owner, from history and Faliraki is a bloke called Careca, who'll moniker you with a famous football players name like Gary Mabbutt or Joe Jordan. Sun beach is mega, particularly on a night time.
