They collected and dropped the car off on time. Their staff were courteous.
My car was damaged whilst in the 'care' of Purple Parking, otherwise known as CPS. The damage was a dent in the rear near side quarter and black rubber marks across the front bumper. This was pointed out to Purple Parking at point of collection. I contacted their Customer Services as requested in writing. A week later they replied admitting the damage was caused whilst the car was in their care and then telling me they have no responsibility for the damage to my vehicle because it took place whilst it was parked (where they parked it!). So they appear to be saying that their only responsibility is to collect and drop offer you car and that they take NO responsibility for its care then until they drive it back to you for collection. They certainly don't take much care where they park it otherwise my car wouldn't have been damaged. They also hide behind their terms and conditions which are designed to make them money rather than provide an ethical honest service to their customers. Their official response is below. Make your own mind up! Beware.......
Dear Dr Hxxxxxxx
We have now received the report from the Duty Manager at Birmingham and
can report as follows;
We can confirm that the chauffeurs responsible for transferring your
vehicle from the terminal to the car park and vice versa have confirmed
that they were not involved in any incident which could have caused the
damage to which you refer. Had they done so it would have been brought
to your attention at the time.
The returning Chauffeur has noted on the Order Process Form a dent to
the rear side of the vehicle, which appears to be extra to the damage
already noted when we collected the vehicle from you on the 18th August.
Since you confirm that the damage in question was not pre-existing, we
must assume that it occurred whilst parked in the car park. You have
already stated in your email the probably cause being another car door
being opened against your vehicle.
Therefore, whilst we regret what has happened, we are sure you will
understand that CPS cannot accept liability for damage for which we were
not responsible and we draw your attention to clause 1a of our Terms and
Conditions in this respect.
We are sorry that we are unable to be more helpful on this occasion.
Yours sincerely
