Light/easy to handle Nice trigger Easy to pump to max power(10-12 pumps) Decent power (22 cal.) Looks good(mine has the wood stock etc. ) Quiet! Surprisingly accurate Fairly priced for a made in USA product
Little hard to load with wad cutters
Pump lever seems a little flimsy but I know of no failure problems and nothing showed any signs of stress or impending failure. The plastic used is obviously of high quality .
My rifle is the deluxe 22 cal. model with the 4x32 scope and real wood stock and forearm. For a selling price of under a $100.00 and made in the USA I think it's a good value. My example shots where it's aimed with Crosman Premiers and Gamo Promagnums. Average velocity of these rounds as measured by my master chrony was 535 ftps. These pellets weight around 14 grams and will out to 50-75 ft. taking rats of all types with real efficiency. On the times where a little more power is needed 12 pumps will get you 550ftps. If you feel the need. Please don't tell Daisy I told you this. I have shot 1 to 1 and one half inch groups consistently at these ranges. That will get the job done in most cases. I enjoy shooting this little rifle and intend to give it to my oldest Grandson when I think he's ready. I am sure the Daisy will be ready it's that kind of solid work horse. I recommend this rifle for your consideration.
