Storage
I bought these Oakley Square Wire 2.0 sunglasses as a birthday present to myself after the sad demise of my previous glasses (which met with a crunching under foot).
The thin wire frames make the lenses on these glasses the main focal point. The attention to detail on the thin frames however is still there. Oakley "O's" adorn the frame edge where each of the arms meets with the sprung hinged corner. This is the difference between the original square wires and the SW2.0 (previously hinges were fixed and could be prone to damage during 'hyper-extension' of the hinge.
The lenses themselves are the standard quality offering from Oakley, employing their lens and filter optics technology they offer outstanding clarity and the performance is ample in both strong and low light situations. Indeed it isn't unusual to keep them on when the sun has all but set!
The draw backs to this style and performance are that they come at a price, this as is typical with named products can sometimes be partly apportioned to the name but then the after sales service and customer care at Oakley UK is exceptional! Because of their thin framed nature they wouldn't stand up to the punishment of a more robust pair of Oakley frames so the storage of these is paramount to their longevity. I have a ballistic soft vault for these glasses. This solves the issue quite nicely.
