General Comments

After a HomeCall+ Home Emergency Insurance engineer serviced the boiler, I had to get a local engineer in to sort a problem. He found that the combustion chamber in the combi boiler had now been cleaned out. I contacted Homecall by phone and raised this with them as the inadequate service had caused the problem. I was told to send in the invoice and I would be reimbursed. Having done this I received a letter refusing to reimburse '... at no point did we advise you that we would reimburse you the cost of the invoice'. The fault was fixed when the boiler was cleaned properly by a local engineer. Some service by both the contractor and Homecall+.
Make sure you read the small print before you enter an agreement with this company as the financial agreement locks you into paying even if, like me, you are unhappy with the service. The Homecall+ small print indicates that you can cancel the agreement at any time but you do not get your payments refunded!

    You stated that you had to "get a local engineer in to sort the fault"; why did you not get Homecall+ to come back and do it properly?
