Very detailed and honest sound overall. Most precise bass guitar reproduction I ever heard.
Very satisfying voice and strings reproduction.
Lack of depth (iQ3 does not really go under 50 Hz)
No sweetness in high band (but not metallic sound or coloration as well).
I have replaced 20 year old Celestion SL-6 pair with KEF iQ3, after eliminating MA BR2, Wharfedale D9.3, Dali Concept 2 and some others. At first KEFs were a bit "thin" and boxy. After 10 days of working out and some repositioning in the room, I have found deep satisfaction with KEFs. Do not place them on bookshelf - I have used sand filled iron pillars (each 20 kg) and put them 25 cm from rear wall - as room demanded.
If you like to listen to vocal music, jazz those speakers are excellent. I was surprised with added details in Nora Jones, Diana Krall albums and some many times heard classical pieces like Vivaldi - 4 seasons were delightful.
And why not - AC/DC - You shook me all night long - never sounded better to me.
I recommend those speakers to all who want to get a piece of music delight for reasonable cost.
