General Comments

The AGS Elite Tactical 3-9x40 mil-dot reticle is my second scope for my Second gun. I have looked through many optics and shot many rifles but this scope is definately one of the best, definately best VFM. It has 14 mildots each on the verticle and horizontal cross hair suited for airgunners rather than Rimfires and Centrefires. However it is a spring rated, light weight scope, with the body machined out of a solid bar of Aluminium. The parralax is set at 35yrds which is perfect for airgunners where almost all scopes parralax is set at 100yrds for Rimfires and Centrefires, this ensures good clarity from 5yrds to infinity.
The only problem with this scope i can think off is the smooth yet hard to turn zoom ring, it may just be mine but it is a challenge to zoom in or out while looking through the scope. I'm told this is so it doesn't change from a knock.

my new scope has this very stiff ring, until about half way, when it then goes easy, at which point the image doesn't get any closer.

Nice scope apart from this. Lets hope AGS will repalce it.

The funny thing about this is that this scope is the exact same scope as the Leapers AccuShot Mil-Dot Tactical scope. I've found that some companys selling "their scopes" are more like computer monitors where there arent so many real manufacturers but companies that buy monitors and rebrand them. A good example would be Dell. Dell dosent really make monitors, they buy them from a manufacturer and re-brand them as their own. There is nothing wrong with this except for when a reputable company buys and re-brands a rubbish product as their own. Then you get kinda screwed as you assumed that the product would have been good because it came from "so and so company". The Leapers AccuShot is a very good scope and I have found that it holds up VERY well to the violent recoil of a springer. Leapers also has a line known as the Golden Image series, this series is a mixed bag of all sorts of junk. The 6-24 X 50mm Varmint scope is the worst most inaccurate piece of trash in the world. I got screwed on this one and it got returned minus my shipping costs back to the retailer. Stay away from these, they are no good for any gun. I agree with you guys though, this Mil-Dot Tactical Scope is a good one and perfect for airgunners as it will withstand the recoil of a springer whether its branded AGS or Leapers.

I have to say that I've had my second scope break last week. The power ring wouldn't turn very well, and the reticule was loose. I Sent it back, and got a refund. Not a very relable scope for an HW97K. Replaced it with a Hawke Varmint 2.5-10x42 AO, after recomendations from other users with this gun/scope combo.
