Price.
The valuing of my old car wasn't right.
I was recommended Motorpoint.co.uk by a friend and initially was impressed with the prices. I rang the phone number and spoke to them and they gave me a price for my old car. I was rather shocked how low it was, but thought I would go and get a price from my local Ford dealership. They quoted me £2700 for 55k miles but said that was based on £2925 for £60k miles. As I was rushed I didn't realise the huge mistake that they were offering me less money for less miles.
I then noticed that they say on their website that they will beat the "What car?" quote, which is £4355 Px for my car so I rang them back and quizzed them about it and they claimed that the valuer was not in. I also asked them for a full spec list for the car to see what is and what is not included. I was looking to buy a Skoda Octavia, of which everything above the basic model includes a 6 CD changer, but the website is so vague they wouldn't confirm whether it is included or not. I was even prepared to drive to Newport from Southampton to physically look at the car but after reading the reviews I will be avoiding the place and going to the dealership instead.
