General Comments

After flying to Florida for some years we decided to treat ourselves and fly Business Class for the first time. We booked via the internet and found it easy and convenient. Once booked we were able to access our details through the 'view your booking' link on the web page. Here we could chose our seats, select meals and even amend any details we wished. We were attracted by the added comfort and extras we were promised for such a long flight. We were not disappointed!
We had priority check-in at Glasgow airport. So nice being able to check your luggage in without standing in line. Business Class had their own check in desk for the 24 business customers. We had access to the business class lounge, where we found breakfast foods, cakes, coffee/tea, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages. There was also internet access and newspapers. You are given a wrist band to wear, so you can come and go as you please.
Once on board, you are greeted very warmly and handed a glass of champagne before your bum has even hit the seat! In business class there are 24 seats that are both comfortable and extremely spaced out. There are four lines of six seats, two seats situated left, middle and right. The seats are large with a generous 50'' pitch. They fully recline and have their own TV, which swings up from the arm. We had a full entertainment programme, which was included in the price. The attendants were exceptional. They took pride in their work and showed us the utmost courtesy and friendliness. We travelled with two fourteen year olds and they were given the same service as the adults. [minus the alcohol!]. They both loved it. We just had to raise our heads and we were being asked if we required anything. They were that attentive. The drink flowed freely and the food [on real plates with real cutlery] was exquisite. It feels as though we were fed and watered constantly throughout the flight.
On arrival, we were first off the flight and our bags had tags which stated they were last to be loaded and first to be unloaded at our destination. We had a generous 40 Kg allowance which meant we didn't worry about bringing back lots of bargains.
We have booked to fly again in July 08 and we can't wait. I would not hesitate to tell anyone to try flyglobespan business class if they are travelling long haul. Now we have experienced this service, we couldn't travel any other way. It is definitely worth the extra money.
