Service was quick
Food hot and well cooked
Linen napkins and good cutlery (always a good sign)
Not authentic Italian... the seasoning / herbs were all wrong; Tiramisu has rum in it - not Marsala wine (rum - in Italy???), and the tables were very close together
Strada is not a bad restaurant, but not great - formulaic and not authentic Italian. Food was well cooked and hot, service was fine, but it just wasn't Italian enough. The Bruschetta Pomodorino had chopped English tomatoes and nothing in the way of oregano or basil to create that fabulously simple thing Italians do with bruschetta - it was bland. The linguine alla pescatore was not bad - the seafood was great, but the tomato sauce on the pasta again lacked that Italian flavour - loads of parsley and very little in the way of Italian herbs. Finally, the desert menu had a Tiramisu that boasted rum as an ingredient. Tiramisu is made with Marsala wine (Italian) not rum (Caribbean).
