Local Branch. Statements are quite clear. Thats about it
Charges. They wont give me a £100 overdraft even though I've been with them 10 years and I've had loans off them with 100% repayment record and I did have a mortgage with them for 8 years. I've changed this recently to the Nationwide (much better)
I've been with the Abbey for 10 years and I had a mortgage with them which they recommended a 5 year fixed rate and as soon as I took out the mortgage the interest rates fell BIG TIME. So i was paying well over £150 a month more than I should have. Ok fair enough these things happen, but occasionally I might be a little short for my direct debts, maybe only 3p and I know I'm to blame but there is no give or take with them. They will slap charges on you straight away even if I did phone up and explain. Now I applied for a £100 overdraft which they wont give me...I'm disgusted with there treatment of me. They have made thousands of pounds off me in the last 10 years. Now i'm moving my account asap...
