Good Points

No international transaction fees.


Bad Points

Capital One cannot handle a fraud notification for a trip of more than 30 days. I went on a 35 day European trip this summer. I called Capital One fraud 11 days before the trip to tell them about it. 30 days into the trip, my card was refused. I have since talked to there fraud account managers and they say there is nothing they can do about this policy. They suggested I call Capital One collect when my card is blocked! They don't understand that this is not what I want to do on vacation or how difficult it is to place a collect call from a foreign country.


General Comments

Account managers at Capital One fraud department cannot empathize with customer problems and are bound by "policy" so they cannot even hear what you are saying.
