Good Points

It has a big LCD screen, and a viewfinder (an endangered species!). You can point and shoot with it, or use one of the many pre-selected scenes (landscape, etc.), or you have a fair amount of manual control, if you want this. The battery lasts a phenomenal time, and the images - at least up to A4 - are great. It is highly portable. And the movie clip facility will last as long as your memory card. With my 1GB card I could take a feature film!

Bad Points

There are two. First, to recharge the battery or show your pictures on the TV, you have to put the camera in a cradle. Second, as technology has moved on, anti-shake facility would be useful - as on more recent Casios.

General Comments

I have used a lot of the top of the line cameras in the past - Leica, Rolleiflex, Nikon, etc - and I am very impressed with my Casio. It has the electronic wizardry that you would expect from Casio, allied to a Pentax lens (I understand). The best of both worlds!
