Good Points

Cheap and easy to get parts for (if its not the one with the Spanish engine then thats a hell of a different game).


Bad Points

The sewing machine engine.
Very basic trim level.


General Comments

The Ford Escort 1.3 GL is OK, basic but thought out OK.
The engine is the real killer here, mine decided to drop a push rod and cost me over £800 to put right GRRR...
The fuel economy is good on these too.
