General Comments

Just returned from a fantastic holiday at Los Geranios Aparthotel, San Eugenio, PDLA. We booked the apartment direct with the private owner in the UK. The apartment was very well equipped. 2 bedrooms, 1 double bed and 2 singles, full oven/hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, dish-washer and washer/dryer, plasma TV, DVD player, CD player and large selection of DVDs and CDs. We were on the 7th (top) floor so the balcony had brilliant views over the swimming pool and harbor area. The complex is in the heart of San Eugenio with plenty of bars, restaurants and shops close by, the harbor and beach are just a short walk away (there's a shortcut through the garden gate). It's not a very large complex and we did not find it noisy but at the same time it wasn't too quiet. The holidaymakers were a mix of all nationalities, but I must say it was the Brits that queued each morning to stake their claim on the sunbeds, then disappeared for a few hours before using them! The cleanliness of the public areas was outstanding, as was the friendliness of the hotel staff. I think if you book through the hotel, the rooms are more basic and you have to pay extra for TV, safety deposit box etc. I would definitely recommend this complex.
Matlock's bar/bistro has just opened beneath the hotel and did good food but is more of an eating place than drinking. Just along the road past the shopping centre is the Walli-Haii bar, opposite Bouganville Hotel, this is very friendly and has good family entertainment each night.
