General Comments

I just picked up a Beeman GH500 Air Rifle with 3-7x20 scope after seeing it in an airgun show report. This cheap rifle was alot of
fun to shoot and real accurate at 10 Meters. After clamping down to a bench I was able to sight it with only a couple of clicks on the scope. The monte carlo stock comfortable was whether offhand or sitting. I was going to shoot 20M when I discovered the mag-power ring was stuck on 3x.
A check of stock at the airgun counter found another scope with a stuck mag ring. The floor model had a working scope, so fortunately I got that one. Dispite the scope mess, this great deal
of rifle for the price.

Joe...."big gap in the forestock for the break hinge".
I don't know this gun, but it seems to be a break-barrel, and if so, then that gap is necessary to enable cocking. You surely can't criticise an absolutely essential feature. If you don't like it, fill it in with woodfiller and start a new trend - a permanent safety catch!!
