We had such a wonderful time!

The house itself was a pleasure to stay in. The first thing I noticed was that the pictures on the website can't portray how open, light, and comfortable the home feels. It was spotless when we arrived. The floors and glass were shiny and clean as were the bathrooms and kitchen. Although the owner checked in with us each day our privacy was respected and we felt like the it was our house. The kitchen was well equipped and the decor in the house was elegant and classy. There were so many recreational water vehicles available we didn't get to them all. We had kayaks, a paddle boat, and a motor boat (if licensed) available to us. The owner came by on our second night and invited my 9 year old son to go tubing with them behind their ski boat and he had an absolute blast. I had friends over and we enjoyed the spacious living room and kitchen with a meal and movie, and they loved the house as well. There is a large deck overlooking the lake and a wonderful view. The beds were big and comfortable, the rooms were large and nicely furnished, the place was super clean, and we felt very much at home. I felt relaxed and pampered in the environment and would love to stay again.

We provided our own food so I didn't rate that because we shouldn't hold Lakeview responsible for our cooking! ;)

We couldn't stay longer.

I was very surprised when I saw the negative comments posted in the previous review. My family stayed in the same house in the same month and you would think we were in entirely different places. When I read the previous reviews in the guestbook at the house itself, even the ones from the previous reviewer, and they were positive and complimentary. So I presumed others had as wonderful a time as we did.

The negative review also said this house was a duplex, but all it shares with the other house is a carport, so to me it did not feel like it was attached to another house and was a separate building. Also, regarding not being able to use the dock, we used the dock every day we were there, and the owner used the dock, which is a dock used by all of her properties, only in the evening and certainly didn't prevent or impede us from using it at the same time. In fact, if we were there, they invited us out on the water with them which was very generous, not to mention fun!

Thank you Lakeview for a few days of relaxation, fun, and serenity. I needed it!
