Handles good on both road and track frame feels light but solid, the Shimano gears ok.
Gears cold be better so prob the first thing to do is upgrade unless you like the set up? The new Vulcan has stram set up which are very good and just as reliable and no rush to upgrade. On the other hand get rid of the forks for a decent set and you will have a good bike
Overall a solid and a good bike with a frame worth upgrading apart from that you get what you pay for.
