General Comments

I bought a number of items for my new home from a variety of stores like Additions (Tesco and Argos also), and I was appalled by the poor service from Additions. The delivery options they give you are very inflexible, and when I phoned to try to change arrangements or request a specific day, it seemed the people on the other end of the phone have no more information than is on the website. I wanted to purchase a set of one table and four chairs, but I could not, and they insisted I had to buy them separately, which would cost extra, as 'the set' had run out (even though all the individual pieces were there). I spoke to a number of unhelpful people, and eventually negotiated free delivery, only to be told that the seats were actually too low for the table and were not as pictured in the catalogue. Instead, I bought only the table, and had two delivered that were broken (one with a large scratch on the tabletop and one with a crack in the leg). What particularly inconvenienced me was that they did not collect the broken tables for a month each time, and so I was left with large boxes taking up lots of space in my small flat, all because they had delivered faulty goods. Throughout the whole experience I came across numerous people with no power to help, and also unhelpful and unfriendly supervisors on the phone. The cheap prices are not worth the hassle in my opinion. I will now stick with Tesco, Argos and Ikea!
