A great car for drawing the looks (especially when the top is down!). Great handling, good for motorway driving/short drives. Leather seats are a must in the winter as is air con in the summer. The boot can hold a surprising amount (when the top is up) and when down, if you pack carefully there is still enough room to hold a tent and an overnight bag. The parcel shelf behind the seats is also useful for (small) luggage if the boot is not enough.
Having owned my 56 reg 1.8 Exclusiv for 7 months, you can imagined how upsetting it was for it to catch fire whilst driving to work at the end of August. There is a fault which has been reported in 53, 54 and 55 reg Corsa's and Tigra's which when the ABS wiring gets wet can cause fire. I am now without car and it is yet to be seen whether the issue is now being seen in 56 reg cars as well.. buy with caution...
