This is an excellent air pistol. It is very accurate; with a red dot sight I can hit a 2p coin at 15 yards, with normal sights I can hit the same target at 10 yards about half the time. The sights use fibre optics, one for the front sight, and two for the back. these light up when you're looking along the barrel which make it alot easier to line up the sights, but after a few thousand pellets I'm still undecided about these, as I think they can distract you from the target.
The build quality is excellent, what you would expect from a German built gun, (as long as you buy the weihrauch HW40, and not the Chinese built Beeman model). The body is made from plastic which could probably withstand being run over by a car, and then still shoot as accurately, but I wouldn't try it with my own. All the metal parts are manufactured to a high quality and precision, and after going over it with a fine toothed comb I cant find a single fault with it in this aspect. the only maintenance it requires is that the piston needs a clean and a light oiling after about every thousand shots. the rest of the moving parts might need some oil after every couple of thousand shots, and I'm going to check mine probably later this week or next week.
The pistol is light, generally comfortable to grip, and easy to cock and reload once you've got used to it.
Not much to say really, one piece of plastic above the trigger began to give me a blister on my finger, so I rounded this piece with some sandpaper. Some people would consider it quite difficult to cock and reload, it did take me a while to get used to, I recommend holding it against your leg with your shooting hand while you cock it with the other, but it still uses muscles that most people dont know they have. but now I'm used to it it's easy.
some people with big or less dexterous fingers might find it difficult to load pellets into it, as the gap is quite small
Overall, this pistol is very accurate, very well built, and generally easy to use. The only problems some people may experience are difficulty in cocking until they get used to it. and loading pellets may be difficult for some people.
the only other thing to mention is that the trigger is very light, some people might like this, some might not, but it could easily be adjusted if you know what you're doing.
