It is vitally important that you bear in mind what you are buying when you shop on Gems TV or The Jewellery Channel. The items they sell are made in Thailand, India etc and are not the highest quality - thus these cheap prices. I've bought two items myself and was very pleased with one item, a silver/turquoise bracelet. The second item however, a set is being sent back at there is a stone missing from the earring, and the ring is small - I know it can be made bigger, but having shown it to a jeweller today he said its not worth having it made bigger as it is "hollow cut" - the band itself is channelled out making it lighter, and of course made of less gold than it would appear, however this also makes it much weaker and likely to bend out of shape. The jeweller recommend that I send the entire set back, but then I suppose he would, these TV channels must be affecting sales in UK jewellers. I would end by adding that you get what you pay for, particularly with jewellery and if it seems too good to be true - it very likely is! Buyer Beware.
