Good Points

Very near a beautiful beach, close to shops, and waterfront restaurant only a five minute taxi ride from Salou. Use of three hotels, even though we were self catering. Good entertainment at night. Enclosed complex of apartments, with locked gate and own pool. Staff friendly. Hotels spotless. Plenty of pool tables for children, and excellent security staff.


Bad Points

The bar in each of the hotels close at 11:45pm without any warning, even on Saturday night, and if you have been to Salou shopping and land home at 11pm, you get a shock when the bar is closed. The disco in the town can be heard from your apartments, which continues until 4am, which, if you have young children could pose a problem, but I have older kids, and it didn't bother us.


General Comments

The Estival Park Hotel in La Pineda is a lovely place. I will return with my fourteen and twelve year old. Make sure you visit the waterfront bar for breakfast or lunch, and the Guinness tavern in Salou itself for the fab dinner, the friendly service, and they call you a taxi every night to take you home, with free lollipops for the kids. Also, make sure you visit the Aquapolis waterpark and Portaventura, the theme park.
