Good Points

My partner, son and I stayed at the Kocer Club Apts and had a great time. The hotel is situated right in the heart of Marmaris, so you are a stones throw away from everything. The pool is fantastic, the staff are great, and will stop and have a chat to you whenever they are not running around getting drinks for everyone. You don't have to move from your sunbed, just give them a wave and they will be over with drinks or food. The receptionist and cleaning staff are great and really friendly. The Turkish night around the pool is not to be missed, great entertainment for adults and kids. My partner particularly liked the belly dancer! The skinniest one I have ever seen!! The pool food is OK, but better to try outside the resort for quality and value for money. Must go's are Charlies Place for the leg of lamb (would feed a family of 4!!) and Tasty Bites for really nice Turkish kebabs. Captains bar for a drink by the beach is really nice, and the staff are great with the kids. Must do's are the Jeep Safari (great fun for adults and kids), and the all day cruise to the mud baths. Can't think of the tourist company we booked the trips with, but they are opposite Tasty Bites, and really good value for money.

Bad Points

We stayed in an attic apt, which was fine for us as we are only 5' 4" and our little one is only 6, but if you are tall, you may feel quite cramped, as they have sloping ceilings, and I banged my head at least four times on the first day before I got used to it! Also, we were on the top floor with no lift, and it is 54 steps to the top, so you will be very fit after 2 weeks. The apt looked out onto the main road opposite Pashas bag shop. It was really noisy in the evening with bars trying to out-do each other with the music, and the traffic was really loud. But, to be honest, it was nice to sit out last thing at night and watch the hustle and bustle, and the drivers going the wrong way down the carriageway like it's normal! Once the doors are closed, it stops most of the noise. It was quite annoying to have to pay 100 pounds for 2 weeks worth of air con that, to be honest, only cooled you when you stood in front of it. Our trick was to pull the sofa bed over to the air con and pull a single bed to the door way then all three of us felt some benefit. Not ideal, but at least we were comfortable. You must take some loo roll, as they are quite tight in handing it over unless you sweet talk the cleaners!

General Comments

Kocer Club in Marmaris is a fantastic place for a family holiday. Would not go back to Marmaris, as it was a bit too noisy for us, but we would recommend it to anyone, and I think the Kocer Club is the better place to stay with your family. It's clean, has a great pool and loads of sunbeds, good food and drink, and the staff, from the cleaners to the bar staff are so customer focused, it puts us British to shame!!! Tons of places to eat and drink, and a great place for imitation designer clothes, bags and shoes.
