Good Points

Staff are friendly and try to be helpful.


Bad Points

The whole experience of the Crown. The rooms were tiny, no tea or coffee making faciliites available. The shower blasted out hot then cold water, the sink did the same. The food was just awful. It was ok if you like toast for breakfast but we needed to use the toaster two or three times to get your bread toasted. There were no cafe facilities and the bar opened and closed when it suited the staff. So it was almost impossible to get a cup of tea at night. There were only 10 parasols and these were renewed after complaints. The list goes on and on.


General Comments

Having been a frequent visitor to Malta and this area in particular I was very, very let down by the service and facilities of this hotel. It seems to be overrun by students who are supposedly there to learn English and when they come back from school in the afternoons they then run about the corridors shouting and knocking doors. Then at night time, when most sensible people are trying to sleep, they started again. There have been children as young as 13 on these trips and they were totally unsupervised. The restaurant can run out of starters, main courses etc and it seems to be that when the food is finished that is it! We kept waiting for Basil Fawlty to make an appearance! I suppose in years to come we will look back and see the funny side of it but when the alarm goes off at 12.30am it is not so funny then. Apparently a child set it off! Now that was no surprise at all.

As for a hotel awful but would make a great comedy show!
