The only good things I can say about this dishwasher is that it looks good and it is quiet.
First. These are not inexpensive low end dishwashers. Mine cost me close to $800.00USD. And this is what I got for my hard earned money...
My first LG LDS5811BB had a dryer failure 3 months into ownership. No certified service in my area (Olympia WA) so after two weeks I managed to get a new unit out of them. Guess What? Almost one year to the date the 'new' unit developed the same problem...wont dry dishes. LG touts the drying system as new-state of the art technology and they use it as a selling point.
Ha! What a joke.
I haven't contacted LG yet regarding repair or replacement of this unit. However they did inform me that my warranty on it was tied to the original unit. The original unit would be about 15 months old...no warranty! Oh and on top of this the control panel is starting to act up.
I do not recommend this appliance and rue the day I purchased it. What was I thinking to buy a South Korean product???
Do not recommend buying it at any price! It may cost you in time, and money!
A poor design. Many problems. A $200.00 standard dishwasher from an American company would work better than this one.
