General Comments

Had the misfortune to use Debenhams Formal wear hire at their Gloucester branch.

When the suit I ordered arrived, the hire company had sent the wrong style jacket and the wrong trousers : the jacket was beige and the trousers were green! Two days later another suit arrived for collection, and although the suit was the style I ordered and the jacket and trousers matched, the trousers were too large and not the size I'd ordered.

The jacket looked like someone had slept in it, the middle button had been poorly sewn back on with white cotton that didn't match the colour of the jacket. The lining of the jacket was torn. There were two stains on the front of the trousers. The waistcoat also had a stain on it. The suit was badly creased. Hugely disappointing.

I wouldn't recommend Debenhams Formal wear hire to anyone who wishes to look smart on their special occasion.
