Good Points

Easy to cock, powerful, low recoil, rugged stock.

Bad Points

Shorter rifle than I would prefer.

General Comments

I've only had my rifle for about a week now, but so far I am pleased with it. The first thing I noticed was that its a lot easier to cock then my other Daisy Powerline 1000S rifle. It is also a lot lighter and feels more solid. The stock does not sound or feel hollow when you tap it against your hand like some rifle stocks. I also enjoy the ventilated butt plate because it really does cushion the recoil of the rifle.

The gun dieseled for the first few shots, but after that it quited down. The gun is on the quieter side, especially for a 1000 fps springer. The gun is shorter than some other rifles, but it will still rest nicely in the arms of an averaged size adult. My rifle came with a basic scope stop, which works with my 3-9 scope that came with my daisy.

At first the scope was shooting about 6 inches low at 10 yards, then after 10 minutes the gun was shooting within an inch at 30 yards. I put an old can of altoids, still full, on a target 30 yards away and shot it a few times. I had to reset the can every time because the pellet would knock it off its stand. Most of the pellets went in an out, but some only went in and made a dent on the other side. After I emptied all the mints out, all of the pellets easily went through both sides. Next I tested the gun against three empty soda cans standing upright from 30 yards. The pellets went through but the cans barely moved. The pellets also went through all three cans while they were lying down on their sides. Next was a water filled 2-liter plastic bottle. Amazingly, the two shots that I took at it went all the way in and out, even with the water resistance. But once I turned the bottle on its side, shooting lengthwise, I was able to retrieve the pellets from the bottle once it was emptied.

I've been shooting with a variety of pellets, but I prefer the JSB exacts due to their consistency and simple design. I would've liked to get them in heavy for longer distance shots, but they were out of stock so I had to use the 7.8 grams. Overall the gun seems very nice for someone who is looking for a decent gun to use for plinking/small game and doesn't want to spend a lot on their rifle. It's a good gun to start with if your getting into high powered air rifles, and for 150$ fro pyramidair.com, the gun will be worth your time.
